At Jerez in Spain today, Be Wiser Ducati team riders Scott Redding and Josh Brookes got their first taste of the factory-backed Be Wiser Ducati Panigale V4 which they will be using in the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Both ex-MotoGP rider Redding and former BSB champion Brookes reported very favourably after taking to the track slightly later than expected due to a damp start but made steady progress on the bikes.

The new machine sports a 1103cc desmodromic 90° V4 engine introduced by Ducati in 2018 as the successor to the V-twin engined 1199cc bike on which PBM claimed a pair of British Superbike Championship titles in 2016 and 2017. The “Panigale” is named after the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale and uses the new Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, derived from the Desmosedici MotoGP racing engine.

The opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship takes place at Silverstone on Easter Sunday (April 21st) 2019. For further information, please visit www.britishsuperbike.com and check back soon for a brand new PBM website at www.pbmuk.net.
